  1. Turn or Straighten a Picture

  5. You can turn a picture to the left (90 degrees), to the right (90 degrees), upside down (180 degrees), or straighten it.  You can also flip the picture horizontally to create a mirror image, or vertically to reverse the top and bottom of the picture.

  8. 1  From the Picture menu, choose Turn Left, Turn Right, or Turn Upside Down.

  11. 1  In the toolbox, click the Straighten tool.
  12. 2  Position the cursor over the picture. Drag along the edge of the picture that you want to straighten and then release the mouse button.  The HP PicturePlace Editor software straightens the picture automatically.

  15. 1  From the Picture menu, choose Effects.
  16. 2  Select Mirror Image or Flip Vertically.

  20. If you accidentally placed the picture on the scanner glass upside down, use the Turn Upside Down command as described above to correct the problem.

  22. To improve a document or presentation, you may wish to reverse a picture.  For example, you might have a picture of a person facing to the right but you want it facing to the left.  Use the Mirror Image command as described above to make this change.  The Mirror Image and Flip Vertically commands provide special effects that you cannot achieve by simply positioning the picture on the scanner glass.
